New Student Society of Inquiry President
November 1, 2012
Â鶹ÊÓƵ is a microcosm of the rich mixture of diverse cultures and ethnicities found in the global body of Christ.
Glinis Garcia (M.Div. 2013), newly-elected president of the Student Society of Inquiry (SSI), is passionate about strengthening the bonds of unity both within the Seminary and without.
“SSI’s vision is to bring unity in our Â鶹ÊÓƵ community, serve the needs of our Graduate Seminarians and also the community that surrounds us,” explains Garcia. “Our goal for this year is to act as the ‘Unifier’ and support the needs of others inside and outside of our Â鶹ÊÓƵ community.”
The Â鶹ÊÓƵ Student Society of Inquiry is the student governing body of the Seminary dedicated to helping Â鶹ÊÓƵ develop a sound, comprehensive curriculum that embraces a multicultural and diversified student body. SSI also plans and initiates ways of expressing the religious, cultural and educational life of the Seminary student community.
During the year, Garcia says the SSI organization will plan institutional and communal events that will include faculty, staff, students and other organizations at Â鶹ÊÓƵ that can help serve the needs within the Seminary and the New Brunswick community at large.
