DESCRIPTION: \nJoin us for a powerful and inspiring virtual workshop designed for genealogy enthusiasts\, researchers\, and history lovers passionate about uncovering the hidden lives of women throughout U.S. history. \nLed by Mary Risseeuw\, this session will explore how to break through the “brick walls” that often obscure women’s stories in historical records. You’ll learn how social and legal norms have impacted women’s visibility in documents and discover tools and techniques for tracing female ancestors—especially through underutilized sources like personal letters\, diaries\, and ephemera. \nBring your questions and engage in a live Q&A session following the lecture. \nThis event is a fundraiser for the Hattie M.
