Clergy in Crisis: Matters of the Mind听

Isn’t it听ironic that听we,听who talk the most about the need for community, experience isolation?听No matter what our relationship status may be, ministry听is听lonely, demanding,听depleting and down right depressing. So, let’s practice what we preach and听form genuine community by sharing what’s on our minds in a safe place among peers!

听鈥淭his past summer I was struck by the loss of yet another young pastor when The Reverend Andrew Stoecklein, Lead Pastor of Inland Hills Church in California, lost his battle with depression/anxiety and took his own life.听 Clergy are in crisis and we need to begin a serious discussion about the Matters of the Mind.听 Depression and anxiety is a very serious illness, and our co-laborers need to know that they do not have to suffer alone.听 Clergy in Crisis: Matters of the Mind is tailored for all who serve on the front lines of ministry and are willing to unashamedly address the elephant in the room that is silencing the voice and witness of so many overwhelmed shepherds in this hour.鈥� 听 – Bishop Donald Hilliard
